Alexandra Yellin, Principal

Alex was born and raised in the Marina del Rey. Alex graduated Hospitality Management from University of Denver, and during that time studied International Business in Prague. Later moving to New York to become a registered Financial Advisor on Wall Street.

Alex has structured and originated over $550 million dollars in first position loans over the past 9 years, specializing in new construction, fix and flips, multi-family, special purpose commercial acquisition . VB Capital focuses on a full cap stack approach and provides unique opportunities through equity and M&A’s.

Stephen Lee, principal

Stephen went to DePaul University and double majored in Finance and Real Estate. Graduating at the peak of the financial crisis in 2008, he started brokering with boutique commercial mortgage broker shops out Chicago. As a commercial mortgage broker, Stephen has financed a wide variety range of asset classes which include Multi-Family, Self Storage, Office, Retail, Condo Associations, and even Golf Courses. He collaborated with various lenders including, Fannie/Freddie, CMBS, Local Banks, Debt Funds, Life Insurance Companies, Credit Unions, and Hard Money Lenders. 

Stephen also brings expertise from the ownership side as the last couple years has been focused on growing his real estate portfolio. He is a GP of a group who is purchasing Multi-Family in Chicago as they got up to 1,000 units. During the pandemic, Stephen relocated to LA as he continues to have a home base in Chicago. Having been on the owner side, Stephen can relate to his clients by understanding their goals.
